That is indeed a nice idea. So you have a better overview :D
Servers or communities where you can upload a half-finished track and you let other people edit it and then you go back after a day or two and see what happened!
Actually I like this thought very much. Then you either have a cool, but long track or you have millions of blocks just spread randomly over the map because someone destroyed it :D
Additionally you can make great communityprojects like the tmx-tracks ;)

And with that, you gave the reason why this probably won't be implemented. Because it can be done through a community page :)

For those people, maybe, who are more active in ingame online play than in communities ;)

Yeah, but this statement by hylis, when i asked about a clan managment system seems likely to fit in here.

This is the kind of example that could be made out of Nadeo. We are working on a structure that could make this type of dev or help players to do it. We think that it is better than we concentrate on the low level engines or systems.

Maybe Nadeo can add something to the system that helps this (a transversal clan information to be used by dedicated servers, or not) but it should be something simple to do and simple to use by users.

I am answering only there but it is a more general way at looking at Nadeo job:"if it could be made from outside, it is less likely that our team will do it directly"

The question is just, if the multiplayer-editor could be made from outside because it's quite complex. I don't know if you'll be able to do this with maniascript, as it is for manialinks and tracks, which are completed. So it may won't work...

Multiplayer Editor is as such very necessary for an multi player online game. In TM2, it would be the new space where creative friends would actually meet, create, modify and test new ideas.

My addition concerns about the features, that the multi-player editor offers the players, while they are building the tracks together. My main idea is to display a 3D (holographic) version of the track's current state and look (in real-time), and to allow the connected users to turn, scroll, test the map or some parts of it. Second feature would be to allow all players to test drive on the track (as it progresses).
