I AM THE 10%

Well, a possible improvement would be 392x Antialiasing while rendering for those insane people like me, but...

I have also never seen an advertisement for any TM games. I found TrackMania (back in 2004 I think) by doing an online search for 'driving games with track editors'. If I had seen a TV ad or magazine ad or online ad I would have bought the game. Once I found it I could only buy it online and have it shipped to me.
Funny thing is, of all the driving games out there, The TM series is still by far my favorite game and TM2 is no exception.
I think if people saw ads for it, sales would go through the roof!
The only reason it really matters to me is that I'd like to see NADEO make the money they deserve and have the funding to do some really good future development. I want to see this game go on for years!

I totally agree -- if Nadeo or Ubisoft put even just a little bit of money into online ads or TV commercials the payoff for both of them would be spectacular. And it's not like Ubisoft can't afford it :roflol: .

I'd love to see what a TV commercial for TM/Maniaplanet would be like.

Firstdriver,
as I already said.. post your opinion to the feedbacks forum.. I have seen you trolling through many threads, but I think that's it now... when Nadeo really improves the game, because you and the " 90 % "(i think 30 %) post every day about it, then the Nadeo team would do the improvements at this moment.. But you guys have too many wishes; it starts from the gameplay, and I bet if you would get a reply from Florent himself (our "god" ) it wouldn't be : "okay guys we change..." it would either be like "No."

The game is already out.. changes would mean a new major update; Servers must be built new; like the tracks from the players themselves.. the driving changes again and you guys won't still be happy! :teub:
Then YOU GUYS can be responsibie for the consequences!

:0010 And by the way, I didn't use my mouth .. My intention is not to flame anyone, I want to motivate you for the ManiaFuture and not to flame Nadeo or Ubisoft..

And yeah Ads would be very good. This game needs more attention!

If the developers don't listen to the users and do the major changes needed, I can guarantee you that there won't be many buying the new environments.

The argument that the game doesn't get advertisment ist a joke. Everyone who logs into TM1 gets CANYON advertisement right in his face everytime.... Besides, word of mouth is the best advertisment. Good games spread on the net like hot buns.

There is no excuse. The game is not popular the way it is. Adding environments won't make any difference whatsoever.

Yeah ads in my face, but i also mean complete newbies.. some guys never played TM before ;)

And yes, you're right in that point, that really good games spread on the internet. Best Example: Minecraft.

And shootmania fills something revolutionary missing in every videogame imo (farcry 2+3, okay..). Bulid own maps easily and then shoot each other.

The problem with word of mouth is that there are -certain- people here on the forums, and in the "competitive ESL" scene of TMNF who won't accept anything but a TM-Stadium 3. Anything different, and they say "They Changed It, Now It Sucks" (See also Unpleasable Fanbase and Complacent Gaming Syndrome.) And so, whether they realize it or not, by bashing this game here on the forums, that gets picked up by the adbots, and spread around the net. Therefore, to make a long story short, TM2 doesn't have the publicity it could because of the players, not because of a lack of TV spots. Hell, there are literally -millions- of people playing Trackmania in Europe. Are you telling me that out of the ten million people who bought United Forever, not even a million could be stuffed to pay roughly the same price for 2? Something's off here, and like I said, I know why.

Wait, what? Very far from 10 million players has buyed United Forever, your mixing it with nations, the number of united players getting medals in solo is 387000,so I guess its about 500000 UF buyers(just guessing).
