I'm not gonna post screenshots here if I ragequitted or cancelled a match myself. Lets be clear about that.
My login for the entire world to see is : "dreammyw0w"
I hope you guys are convinced now that it's a bug and not a user-created stupidity.
About my previous post. I played and finished a match. Connected back to the main-lobby & suddenly people were saying I cancelled a match, when in fact I did absolutely nothing.
MM is currently broken. As soon as 4 players are ready, the lobby is sending the players for a 2v2 (i thought the goal of such a thing was to avoid to have to wait too long while u have enough players for a 2v2, but right now it's working like for 3v3, you need to put back the delay).
Also, yesterday it happened to me twice to be auto-ready while i didn't press anything. Id : dovahk1n
He means that the MM-system doesnt wait long enough to find a 3v3match.
Dovakin preferes to wait 2minutes and if no 5th/6th are found then ( and only then ) start a 2v2 match. Currently the 2v2-matches just start instantly.
I would prefere this too ( but this isnt a bug ofc )
I thought that this early 2v2-start is a bug. Once again it has been proven that Maniaplanet needs to be clearer, from generally explaining how the Maniaplanet system is supposed to work (developers provide tools, user creates content for instance using the example of titlepacks) to explaining small features like the early-2v2-start. The explanation of the voting-feature was a first good approach. It would be great if there is a small pop-up menu in the MM where all features are explained to inform the players about what is a bug and what is an intented feature.
Or even better, create one central source where literally everything (How MP works with it's player-creates concept, all gameplay features of all MP titles such as the walljumps of SM, every tool (Script, action maker, map-editor, item editor, interface designer, car painter etc) is explained. I am thinking of doing this one central source with the help of the community but firstly, the community is already doing far enough, secondly I am not sure if the community would agree helping on such a huge project, thirdly I don't know if I'll be able to organize it because I am currently very very busy. Maybe I'll give this huge project a try in a few weeks.
For the technical part you have already the official documentation that can be completed by anyone: http://doc.maniaplanet.com/ (but with a lot of information already available)
What about converting this into Maniaplanet, in one central manialink? Although it would consume a lot of time, it would solve the common issue of helpful tutorials that are mostly not found by the players. Or just heavily advertise this website.
