Thanks for the feedback :thx:
gugaruz wrote:why do you have the remove button, you have to refresh the browser to see all objects again and if you click on the false list and you wanna get it back, you have to refresh, but then you will get all items again. it's specially annoying if you are using just a certain mix of block categories.
I've added the remove button because I don't think you have every objects ( for example the VioK's ones ^^),
I haven't made an howto use page, I planed to explain to remove rows before choosing objects ;)
gugaruz wrote:my idea:
you can do instead of the remove-button a hide function like spoilers (in other forums)
I hadn't thought about hiding them, so we could bring them back without reload the page
good idea! I'll try to add it as soon as I have recovered the real weight of each objects ( actually working on it )

xrayjay wrote::thumbsup: great calculator
Thanks :thx:
xrayjay wrote:May it´s possible to insert this as a selfmade plug-in into the editor? I don´t know anything about the plug-in writing for maniaplanet (editor plug-ins), but there´s a possibility to write something by your own (i saw some selfmade plug-ins for automatic map creation etc.), your calculator there and a small window with the total used size (like on your webpage) would be nice^^
I wish I could  but I still don't understand how to write anything in ManiaScript ...I think I need to learn a lot about it before trying anything with it
xrayjay wrote:Your webpage is for pre-calculation very useful but not ingame while using some items of a personal library (on the user hdd) and tabbing out of the game into the browser and back is not such charming as we like it
I already know it ... that's why I would have prefered to write it as a plugin ...
But I have a solution, do like me ... have two screens  (sorry)
xrayjay wrote:Idea for your webpage:
May you could make some filter options to filter the items by author / envi / name or whatever is useful?
I ordered all objects like they appear ingame when you extract them as said in howto files from maniapark' zips.
I can't add a filter by envi because I'm going to make a page for each envi ;)
As my table is auto written according to the XML order, I don't know right know if I will be able to add some filters options ( I'm really not so good with programming ), but I will think about it
just a little question : do you ask for a filter by author because you only make maps with your objects :D
I was joking, thanks for all the objects you gave us ! you made 128 embeddable for Canyon (128 / 238 if I don't count the ones from Canyon-Extension)
xrayjay wrote:AND Nadeo should uplift the total size for embed items (asked so much times before by many users but no reaction by nadeo^^) :roflol:
a little thing that would give us the weight of each objects just where appear their name, and a little box telling us the free space remaining , and I just stop working on this page
the only thing that could be missing then is a visual way to know wich objects are already been embedded in the map

I've been thinking a little about this ...
For the moment I use a Javascript "deleteRow()" so I don't think it's going to be easy to get the row back
But I think I could use a CSS " display: none " instead, so I could call the row back easily; well I'm not sure how I'll write it, but it should be fine .
What do you guys would prefer ?
a single button at top of page we click and all removed rows reappears,
or a list of removed rows (with only folder's names, I think, so it's not another big table ^^ ) at the bottom that we could choose to put back in the table ?
first solution will certainly be easier to build but the second one could be more useful ...
Maybe the third solution could be good too, because when we remove a row, if an object of this row was selected, his weight is still counted ... then we could see all removed row and their objects in a second table.

Or maybe I could add two buttons in the table:
one to delete the row (because you don't have the objects)
and another one to remove the row ( because you just want to see less objects to work easily ) :roflol:
What do you think ?
[I promise I haven't been drinking, smoking or anything else before having these ideas  ]

@xrayjay : still don't really know how to add your options, but I keep thinking about it ;)

Don't you, ManiaFriends hesitate to ask for more things for this page :thx:
maybe I'll be able to please you

We have discovered that the limit of 307.2 kB refers only to the embedded ZIP archive containing all item files.
I updated my tool accordingly. Now it shows exactly the same values as they would appear ingame.

hi all,

I've got now real weight for half Canyon's Items, but it's really boring to do it again ...
(the online page is not up to date for the moment)
So I began the Valley's ones
I should soon share it ;-)

Hi all,

I've almost finished this tool =)

I've got weight of each embeddable item in the 3 TM² envi
still need to check again those from Canyon-Extension; each others weights have been check 2 times with two methods to be sure 8-)
I have to work a little bit on the display of the pages ( not really nice for the moment  )
and I still have a little problem to hide/show only the pictures of a row ( the height of hide row should become shorter and still could see the folder's name, I think it should be fine like that), so that it doesn't really delete the row and we don't have to reload the page to get them back ...
I really don't know how I could do to add some filters options without rewriting it completely ... so I'm not sure I will do it
I should be back soon ;)

hi all,

I'm back with real weight of all ManiaPark TM2 items
now the left button of a row is here to hide/show his row
(working on a way to bring back the deleteButton)
please try it and come back to tell me if that works with IE, Opera or Mac
