I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make anymore. I feel like you keep grasping at straws here and there doesn't seem to be real goal with this anymore. We have differen't opinions on some things and that's ok. In fact it can be good at times, but this is starting to feel pointless.

I don't blame the community. I wrote "maybe" the community don't use all the Canyon possibilities. For example, online maps are very similar and not very interesting in my opinion. I noticed also a fact : the most creative people of the community don't blame Nadeo... Maybe (again this word ;) ) because when you create something in Tm you can understand better the Nadeo work.

With new tools like title packs or objects import i think the creative community will make great features. But will the players follow ?

I'm not agree with you, we have to support all the games, not only TrackMania. Players from TMF/TrackMania²/ShootMania are for us in the same community.

And about your date comparaison, take the same point at the start. On a side you take the release of TM1 (2003) and on the other the date of the beginning of the development of ManiaPlanet (2006). If you want to be fair, use the same kind of date, for example the release date. In that case, it'll be 2003 for TM1 and 2011 for ManiaPlanet (because TM1 has not been developed in one day but on several years :P )

Such dark and sarcastic verbage in that last paragraph. I find myself oddly amused by it. :pop:

These topics where the life and death of games are discussed with the fervor of the rise and fall of empires makes me think that people need to step back and put things in perspective.

Haven't these types of discussions started to become rather asinine? Maybe they always were and I've finally woken up to the fact.

But let's have a reality check. Isn't TM just a game? Granted it's a game I've always loved, but it is just a game. If you like it, play it. If you don't, move along to something you find more interesting.

And why be so worried about when and what Nadeo releases? They are the ones who possibly stand to lose money in the short term over a late release, not you. They make a game; a product of their creative energies. They sell it. They hope we buy it. Some of us will, some of us won't. You know it will be fun. It doesn't mean it will be better than things you enjoyed before, but it will be fun in its own way.

I know we're all looking forward to Valley. But it's like waiting for anything else; if you're totally focused on that thing you're waiting for, you will build unrealistic expectations for it, and it will be a disappointment. I think many felt this way about ManiaPlanet 2.0. The expectations were built for nearly a year, and when it came... it didn't have everything people expected. It was, in the short term, a disappointment. In the long term, we'll see...

However, if you focus on other stuff (and lets face it, there's plenty of important things to focus on), then when that thing you're waiting for finally does come (and it will), you'll be able to get excited about it and enjoy it for what it is.

I totally agree with Eyebo's statements.
Makc86: I'm sorry you see the world that way and hope you can find a way to enjoy it better.

Please don't put words in my mouth.
While it's true I do have fun with and enjoy Canyon as it is, I think it's far from what it could and should be. There are aspects of the game I'm not happy with, but I do have faith that these things will be fixed in time.

Then please wait until ManiaPlanet 2.0 is really finished and useable,
and do not complain about something which has to get out first and which is currently in BETA test phase. ;)
You know what BETA means, hm? :roflol:

Canyon was released with ManiaPlanet 1.0. Now there is some struggle with ManiaPlanet 2.0.
A real pity for those not really interested in changes, but what shall's?
Just wait and be patient...
