Hey guys,

I've played the beta since it started, not that much but I played quiet a lot(I was like rank 5 or so...) and I'm leaving tomorrow for holidays so I just give you guys some feedback and talk about my opinion about that game :)

First I wanna say, that I really like this game and really enjoyed playing it, you guys from Nadeo have done an awesome job.

But there are a few points where I think you can improve stuff.

1.) Royal: Something that would help a lot of players and would make this game mod even better would be something that shows you how far the Offzone is away from you. A small counter e.g.
Cause obviously the game is about the face-off, about the fight and so it sucks if you, either get surprised/killed bei the Offzone while you're focusing on a fight or you have too look back the whole time and get shot in the back.

2.)Royal: Depending on how good you are, it may happen, that you're dieing very early and so you tab out of the game till you respawn, cheking facebook n stuff. A very helpfull thing would be something that notifies you when the next round starts. I have no clue about that programming stuff, but the game could pop out itself or a sound would be very nice :D

3.)Royal n others: A few of you may say that its part of the game, but to me it sucks if people stay more or less the whole game in their starting box and wait till the Offzone starts, not taking part in the game and than shooting you in the back. To prevent this, you could e.g. connect the activation of the Offzone with a instant kill of every player in his start box or a sign over every box with a player in it.

4.)Every capture mode: It happens very often to me that I don't know which tower is captured and which one isn't.
So a minimap or a light column with the particlular color.

5.)There's always 1/2 mins idle time between two games. Don't know if that's on porpuse but I personally don't like them... So maybe remove them :mrgreen:

Bugs (Or stuff that seems to me like one of those creepy insects^^):

1.) Instagib: Maybe it's only me, but to me it seems that there's always a short delay between hiting someone and getting the notification... :roll:

2.) The ladder isn't updating or showing the right points... Or it is just a long updating interval._.
But the switching thing which shows your place in your country and city is showing other ranks than the actual ladder(e.g. it says No 1 in Germany and 3100 LP but if I click on the Germany ladder I'm only No 5 with 1300).
So quiet confusing that stuff^^


That's it for the moment, I'm going to play my last games till I leave tomorrow. :)

Where are you from? The instagib servers are from France. I'm not french and i have 50-60 ping on the Instagib servers and i have a huge delay too. Wait till servers from a closer country from you goes online. It sux but the problem its not because of the beta.

I suppose it's the same as in Trackmania, meaning once per day :)

I think that's kind of a interesting aspect of this game mode, having to fight while constantly checking how far the offzone is away from you. :)

Yes had that problem as well, really annoying.

But it's good for preparing for the next fight, still I would prefer a warmup round.

I think that's kind of a interesting aspect of this game mode, having to fight while constantly checking how far the offzone is away from you. :)

Its a good part of the game, just needs to be slowed down a bit the time is to short. The opening fight time is fine but the speed it closes it is to quick.

Yes had that problem as well, really annoying.

Uh, you look at the top of the pole after youre dead or when you respawn. If its not your color then its not captured. Very easy to do. Dont need a map because people cant get into position to see which tower (top) is not full in color. If its grey, capture it.

warmup round would be shit and waste time, unless they let you warm up as other people are joining and thats part of the overall "idle" time. Which means take the idle time out completely and have a open arena for 2 minutes while people are connecting.

A map would be nice for battle mode, or at least a more easily read indicator of which poles are/aren't captured/being captured. In fact the UI dedicated to battle mode looks a bit sloppy in general.

I don't really think the Offzone should be slowed down, it doesn't feel too fast to me, sure it maybe could be better if it were slower but it's possible that Nadeo tested it that way and found it better as is. Nor do I feel an indicator is too important. One time, though, and I think it was a glitch as the game wasn't working right at the time, but I saw sort of creeping veins coming from the Offzone, something like that covering the area that will soon be out of bounds could be a neat indicator that looks cool whilst also being informative.

I really love this idea. It'll get people to at least come out of their spawns after 10 seconds.
Other than that, I have to say I like the game as it is. Especially the simplicity of it all, which just adds to the aspect of strategy, forcing you to make best with what you have. Not having a map in the hud forces you to be aware of your surroundings, and I really like that. It's something other fps's lack. That's just me though...

Nothing is easier than to rape someone camping in the spawn centre.
