Option for disable own footsteps sound

This is an important thing in a competitive fps. Would be cool to be able to do that, like you could in Unreal Tournament and others i think.

People, I think author has meant an option, that would let us to turn off our own footstep sound, so we do no hear our own steps. It irritates me, for example, just because when I move I know that I move, and my own footsteps can mess me up detecting enemy's footsteps.

That's weird since I definately hear other players footsteps, so why wouldn't they hear mine?
