Badly needs more server filters

I played this game at Rezzed gameshow last week and absolutely loved it. It was an intense, highly competitve 3v3 (attack/defend) and 8~ free for all.

Then I download the beta and all my love for this game was drained. Every server I tried had what felt like 20v20 matches and the whole thing was a total cluster fuck.

Could you please add more filter options to restrict the max number of players you want to see in a server so I don't have to play in these clusterfuck servers.

Are you talking about the server browser on the ManiaHome station? Or the server browser that is in the Elite title menu?

If you're talking about the former, know that we're working on it. If you have any precise suggestions about what you miss (eg. "Max number of player on server", "Max number of slots on server", etc.) don't hesitate to post them.

I'm not sure, to be perfectly honest the server browser was very confusing, the current filter (game mode?) section always returned zero results no matter what I chose (unless I kept it on "all"). I really wasn't sure what all those gametypes were (timetrial, etc). I expected to be able to filter the game modes - Battle, Elite etc.

Good to hear you are working on it, I'm sure it will be great for launch!

It would be good to be able to see the ping of servers before selecting one, and filter by ping. I know that the country selection makes it less important, but there's still a very large difference between western US and eastern US ping, for instance, so unless there are more general categories rather than just individual states, it would be nice to see the lowest ping servers in an area rather than having to check each server individually.

Tried playing again since the latest update and I still can't find a single 3v3 elite server...

Searching seems my only filter option at the moment for it since the "FILTER GAME MODE" doesn't make sense, and choosing anything but ALL returns 0 servers anyway.

So I'm left searching for "elite" but nothing, is this normal? Does everyone just want to play 15v15 free for all or something?

EDIT:

Oh I pressed up arrow in mania planet and it's treated like a whole different game to shootmania. Man the layout of this whole thing is so confusing :/ Why is this not accessible from the main shootmania area? Am I missing something here?

you should add Elite title to separate station, like Storm.

e/ okay, you found out yourself, lol. why not accessible from SM directly? dunno. why it's separate at all? to have proper ladder rankings.

I really hope that the server browser list in SM that's similar to the one in Trackmania will get a complete overhaul. You really need stuff like gamemodes and ping displayed on screen for a FPS.

The server browser on the Maniahome station page is pretty good, though not being able to sort on servername, gamemode, playernumber, PING is very very bad.

Place "filtering on skill level" in server filter instead of awkwardly seperating the servers by skill level.

Why do you say that the ordering by skill is awkward? It's been that like that for a long long time in TM and I've always found it efficient (the idea beeing that the first pages are servers at you're level). Can you try to explain what bothers your with this? So you want to be able to display servers with higher level for example?

I want to sort servers by whatever criterion I want, not only restricted by skill level (what if I don't care? I don't play for LPs...).
