Nerf railgun, add strafejumping, ect.

2 points for a kill with railgun is to much. My best idea is to give it 1pt and maybe slightly faster reload speed instead.
Now its VERY easy to win FFA if u camp at rail. It depends on the maps ofc but i still think 2pts are to much.

And I would love if u added strafejumping, so u can keep the speed you have earned. Now huge maps get kinda boring when moving around pretty slow and u have to get into very close fights because of the weapon is a "close encounter weapon". And if someone camping rail u got no chance to escape when u move slow.
I belive this game is so good/fun that if there were Strafejumping in it, it would be a success in esports.

One more wish i have is the "kickback" of the weapon should be "harder". I mean like Rocketjump you can fly very high, and i want the weapon to be more like that. Also it would be nice if u could "climb walls" with the weapon, hard to explain but what i mean is " If your standing next to a wall and aim and shoot low on the wall the kickback of the explosion should kick u up a bit, and next shot a bit more, and so on. Then u can reach higher places than u can normally jump to, but u "sacrifice" ammo as trade.

Also add crouch, and slow walk.

Changeable FOV is also very important.

A Console is a must, so you can adjust "anything" fast.

A "Speed meter" would be great, what i mean by that is like you see in real time how fast u move on the map, could be useful in timeattack.

Anyway keep up the great work with this game. And add strafejump then this game will get big, i promise :)

You said it yourself that it depends on the map, so you shouldn't base balance discussions on maps which are unbalanced. I think the railgun is in a good place.

Strafejumping is good and all, but I think we should wait a bit for advanced movement to get discovered before callings for things like that. Movement in Quake was all due to a bug in the engine, we just need to find our own "bug". Also, game mechanics does not an esport make.

I believe there is a small amount of kickback on self rockets, but nothing to the extent of actual rocket jumping. Same with climbing. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but due to the lack of self damage on your rockets and regenerating ammo, it would be ridiculous to have it anywhere near the extent of Quake or TF2.

The rail seems strong, but I was under the impression that the only 'competitive game modes' were elite and joust. Joust doesn't have a rail so not relevant, and the rail seems fine in elite mode against 3 with rockets.

Coming from a quake background I obviously love strafe jumping, but due to the size of the maps in shootmania I'm actually able to pick up just as much speed if not more here...try tapping your jump then holding it down right before you land to do sort of a ground dash then repeat, provides a fast slide similar to tribes games.

I don't really see the need for rocketjumping/climbing here, maps are too big for it to be that beneficial in many situations and there's no way to penalize players for using it since you can't take chip damage.

A walk button is definitely needed to eliminate footsteps.

Console, fov need to be added.
