[B1] Small freeze when starting the game

When on the main Maniaplanet menu, I select a game (Canyon), for a few seconds the game loads but the entire window is completely frozen and there is no feedback telling me that it's loading.
- no hourglass cursor
- no "Canyon now loading" image
- Windows believes the application has stopped responding, if in windowed mode the window title bar indicates "not responding"

I think this type of behaviour should be avoided.

Yeah, also noticed this, very annoying, happens also on map change.
It might be some quick shadow or shader calculation (although the latter is always indicated in the title bar).

The only thought I have about this is that it is some DirectX or vide driver or Windows internal stuff they can't do anything about it.
