Problem creating custom crosshair with GIMP

Hi,

I've been trying to create a custom crosshair using GIMP 2.8 + DDS 2.1.0 plugin, but when I try it out in-game, I just get a black square where the crosshair should be. I'm pretty sure the problem has to do with me exporting incorrectly--I tried opening with GIMP and exporting an un-modified crosshair that someone else created (one that I know works in-game), and I still get the black square problem.

I have also tried changing various export settings but haven't yet found a fix. Does anyone know how to get this working with GIMP?

For me, exporting as BC3/DXT5 fixed that problem. Maybe also try exporting as BC2/DXT3. Make sure to generate mipmaps when exporting

Any idea how big the image canvas should be? I draw a line of 2px width and ingame its 3px. I'm running at resolution 1680x1050. Thx
