Hole in bumpers

Hi.
There's a hole on each side of the bumper which is very easy to get stuck in. This is especially annoying in Elite, at for example The Castle, where you can get stuck in the bumper by the pole. I think most people would agree that it would be better to just remove the holes completely.

Also, I noticed that while playing InstaGib my whole view would kind of bounce around when I landed in the bumper hole, and it was very hard to get out.

To keep the aesthetic purpose you could just make the hole so small that you can't step in it?
