Hi,

you have to download the zip-file and copy it to your \ManiaPlanet\Skins\Storm\Mod-folder of your profile\Documents.

DON´T unzip the file.

Now the MOD should show up as new SKIN, when you try to create a new map with the advanced editor.

If you play a map using this MOD, the MOD should load automatically.

Looks very nice.

Question.... How long would it take for a player that doesnt have this MOD installed, to download whilst joining a server that is running the MOD?

depending on the connection and the location of the player, but you can test downloading it from maniapark and it should be basically the same time ;)

For me in france it's 4 mins :pil

Thanks for the reply.

4 mins would be too long for anyone to wait to play a game, as its a fast paced game, people need to play, not wait around for a mod to download!! Shame really, as its a really nice mod.

If I recall, Trackmania mods like this one, was quicker.... perhaps I am wrong though, as its been a few years! :)

players can play while the mod download, so if a server is set up with only maps with this mod it should work nicely :pil

BTW TM or TM² never got a mod of this quality (and of this size) ;)

Sorry about this size of this mod but I really wanted to change the way Storm looked and the only way was to more or less fully mod it. I also wanted to keep it high quality like it deserves, I wouldn't want to play the game with low quality textures.
I guess if you play on a server with this mod for the first time and you have to wait for it to download you wouldn't know about it until it was downloaded so what a surprise once it is.

PS Don't wait for a big download when in a server, install the mod today from the link in the first post :D

PPS My next mod I will make a lot smaller because I wont need to change things like mountain sides, trees and grass. I will concentrate on changing all the blocks and not the scenery and it will be aimed to look sci-fi, bright, metallic and shiny.
