What happened to this game?

When Shootmania went into beta, I thought it had a lot of promise. The devs released updates very quickly and I pre-ordered it. Since then, it has released very few updates and those have been mostly bug fixes and minor things.

What happened? I hope they dont think the core gameplay is good because right now the game doesnt feel good to play, the movement is very shallow and the amount of modes people can make are limited by not having things like flags or objects

And this isnt just me whining or anything, look at the player numbers, there's hardly anyone that plays it anymore and there's been 0% interest for it on other gaming sites (NeoGaf, Something Awful, Giant Bomb)

Next week there will be an update which contains an "object importer", i dont know what it is exactly, but it could solve this problem

I would assume the preparations for PAX and other events have consumed a lot of the dev teams's time. Also, more time between updates can sometimes mean more substantial updates.

Croatia has only one real gaming magazine and they just got their hands on ShootMania Storm - consider this a compliment to Nadeo - it got 8/10,with (khm) the only mistakes being the lack of detailed tutorials and the tiny problems with locating advanced in-game controls - what else could you ask?

I for one can't wait to get it.
