Re: Paint Editor???
If we're talking about the paint editor, then I must say, that Nadeo should improve it and his elements. I have to say they also should make the editor more simple (I never use the paint editor, cause it isn't shown good how to use it).

Re: Paint Editor???
IMO, the ingame editor is hella easier to use than something like GIMP or such--I still haven't figured out how to get that to work...

Yes it does work exactly the same.CrAzYdriv3r wrote:The TM2 Painter will work exactly the same as the TM1 one
THe default sizes have been expanded top 2048x2048 pixels however and is DXT5. The base skin files for the game are in zip form but they are all zipped up together in another zip file in the game's main directory. I am guessing this will change since the structure I saw didn't yet have a My Documents/Trackmania folder. In retrospect it will probably be a folder called My Documents/Maniaplanet/Trackmania/Skins/Vehicles... etc...
The version I saw didn't as yet save the cars. Possibly because that directory wasn't created and Windows 7 kept one from being created by the game. <<Just guessing again but I have been pretty good at guessing.
Stickers and such I didn't get a good look at. But the sticker directory seemed to not be in the expected place either.

One thing that i didn't see was the .gbx files of the car. The ones for the geometry of the car and the geometry of the damaged car. I was curious to see if the doors and such falling off was scripted or if there is just a damage counter in the game itself. Something to look forward to then for me.

So no more mipmap errors when importing skins!TheDoctor wrote: Yes it does work exactly the same.
