Replay Functionality Question

Post by DrownedOut »

Once upon a time, I could have sworn the game saved your PB as your ghost. Now when I play I start with no ghost and it only creates session ghosts which are lost upon leaving the track.

I have learned to manually save any good times I get. I find this frustrating though because I cannot race against these saves unless I go into Edit mode. Or in the off chance that my PB is an official time I can download it (although this appears to be session based as well). Likewise, I have very few PBs that are official times.

Is this functioning correctly? Or perhaps I have accidentally adjusted some setting?

Thanks for any help.

Also, Dear Nadeo, if you would consider creating a Motorcycle environment. Thanks.

Do you have "save ghosts" turned on in settings?
I'm not getting that problem.

Thanks for the replies.

Where exactly would the setting to save ghosts be? As far as I can tell I had changed nothing, the game did this on it's own accord. I hardly ever change settings. The only setting I can see close to that is in the game tab in advanced options where there is a checkbox to disable replays. That is not checked because I want to save replays. Likewise, for the sake of being complete, I checked it and went in-game, but it didn't change anything either. So I set that back to how it was and unchecked it.

Also, what in the heck is MediaTracker, and why on God's green earth would this be moved there when it has absolutely nothing to do with that? This is a problem with the game itself not saving replays properly. Really strange mods.

Sorry, You may be right. I don't see that option anymore in the configuration menus.
In the game though in Profile - Advanced options - Multiplayer there is an option called "Save Automatically all replays" that I do have turned on. Don't know if that would make a difference or not though.
