Stuck above map, everyone's a bot

Hi!

Installed the game today and tried playing. Everything works until I have joined a server. I'm stuck above the level. Can't see any of the players running around and when I bring up the score there are no players. Just a list of bots. My player character is standing down there. I can see what people type in the chat. But that's all.

Tried reinstalling the game to no avail.

Help?

Why do people always think reinstalling the game would help

Did you try other servers?
I would recommend you some official servers (Ubisoft).

Some servers and game modes don't allow direct play rigth after the connection, you might have to wait until one of the other players loses a game or retires.

I don't even know the game you're talking about
"running around" would lead me to shootmania, but bots don't have a score and aren't shown in the scoreboard
that's why i think you might have joined a test server and should try other servers

Oh. Sorry. Yeah. Shootmania. Tried more servers than one. Several game modes. A friend created a server too. I know for a fact that my player character is in the game. Standing there. I have no control. I'm in hover above mode. I can hear the sounds from what is going on around my character. I think. As I haven't actually seen any players I can't know for sure. But I know my dude is down there. I know I've joined a server with actually people. Chatted with them. Friend in the game to confirm the game is actually going on.

... I don't think the bots had scores. And they all were named Bot. Not "Bot1", "Bot2" etc. It's just wonky. There aren't any bots. It's just the players connected that have their name replaced by the name "Bot." And as I said, I know there are actual players on the server (looked before I joined, a few of them were chatting, real life friend connected to the server)

TMarc. You shouldn't be rolling your eyes like you douche. I'm just going through the motions of telling you what I have done so far attempting to fix my problem myself, before going to you guys ( ) To add to that. First time around I installed to a custom folder and chose a custom place to store the datafiles and stuff. Second time around I used a custom folder for the game but let the other to choices remain standard.

could you please tell us the name of the server and the mode?

it seems like your user interface doesn't enter the 'Playing' Sequence, but that's kinda weird
(sequences are for example "Intro", "Outro", "Podium", "Playing")
if an UI is in a sequence like "intro" you behave like a spectator while being spawned already (that you can't see the other players is also strange though)

We played Storm, Royal and Elite(I created) and on "Ubusoft Royal" server.

Haven't gotten it to work

Tried going over to windowed mode. Tried switching around the graphics settingsd I now get to see the other players running around on the map! Until it's my time to spawn, then it the players freeze or the players disappears . Some of the times I could still use the chat, others I DC:ed but stayed "on the server" once I got into First person mode. Tried forwarding the port I think the game uses. Disabled the firewall on the router too Nevermind about the windowed thing. Full screen gives the same result.


Things left to do:

Silly idea, but did you connect with the right station?
There are different modes: Jout, Elite, Elite Experimental, Heroes, Royal and Royal Experimental.
Perhaps you were using a non-exp title with a exp-server, or the other way.

Also make sure you have all necessary updates.
On the player page you can enable optional updates, possibly your setup was missing some.
Where did you get the setup executable from exactly?

It also happened to me one time on a server: connected, but could not play.
And there was some similar issue a while ago in the alpha and early beta but it appeared to be fixed.

Do you remember which servers you tried to connect to?
Please name a few...
