Problem with lag/server connection

Hi,

the last few days of play i keep being disconnected from servers saying IP disconnected (10054) - along those lines -
When i then try to reconnect to the same server It says something along the lines of : UCP failed, falling back to TCP try to configure firewall.( this still continues when my firewall is turned off)
On top of this, every now and then i get long periods of a high ping up to the 1000+, while on speedtest im getting only 20 ping and 15mbps +

Ok, I have no idea what causes this, but I had the same issue on our own servers for a long period of time. The strange thing was that it ONLY happened during warmup on servers (Elite), never when matches were taking place. (for me on our servers atleast)

Also, to avoid the TCP connection, have someone on the server kick your from it, or wait untill you time out, before you reconnect. That way you won't get the TCP connection. This I have no idea about. What servers is this for? Because I've had that a couple of times, but typically when I've joined some kind of Storm-mode with heavily populated servers. Not sure what causes it, could be background downloads of skins/horns causing issues or something, but for me it fixed itself after a short period of time after connecting to the server. If it happens randomly, then I could see it being a big issues.

These are mainly on Elite servers, situated in Europe- now im from the UK and without the spikes i have 20 ping. Im pretty sure its not my net as on a server for cod I dont get spikes at all etc. The ping spikes are quite random and happen around every 5-10 minutes ( if very bad) for about 2 mins at a time.

The part you found in that youtube video, is precisely what happens, I find it is at least guaranteed to happen in every server ive played in at some point or another, sometimes more than once

Yeah, I just had it happen last night again to me, but as usual it happens during warm-up. I've yet to have it happen to me atleast during an actual match. No idea if this is caused by my own connection being unstable or what, but I know my teammates don't have that issue on the same servers.

Well I will get it every server I go on sometimes more than once, and am therefore forced to fall back to TCP on that server because of this bug. Hope someone finds a fix to this soon!!! >.<

As I said, the TCP is because you connect while your "player" is still on the server (as in hasn't timed out yet). If you know someone on the server, have them kick you or wait untill your players times out before reconnecting and you shouldn't get the TCP connection.

I believe I've solved the ping issue, it was something very very simple but not so clear, still getting the disconnects however

You can set your network speed up in the game launcher -> configure -> advanced -> network. Some players reduce the lag issue by changing the network settings, so it's worth giving it a try.
