Is anyone else having difficulty paintng alot of the cars in ManiaPark? There's alot of cars that , when you press Paint, just stay in selection mode and you are unable to paint.

Please give a concrete example / link, this would help track the issue.

I had the same problem, I renamed some textures like those in TMUF and after it worked in TM STADIUM and I have changed my car in the Paint Editor

( J'ai eu le même problème, j'ai renommé certaines textures comme dans TMUF et après cela a fonctionné, j'ai pu modifié mon skin dans le Paint Editor.)

Original name file : Good name file :

DetailsDiffuse.dds ----------------> Details.dds
FakeShad.dds ----------------> ProjShad.dds
SkinDiffuse.dds ----------------> Diffuse.dds

I can paint the country cars in game but nothing I've downloaded will load to the painter.

You can't paint most of the cars on ManiaPark although a few can be painted if you change the filenames of a few files as already mentioned. The default TM2 CanyonCar isn't recognised by TM2 Stadium at all and results in a weird painted StadiumCar.

You would be amazed to learn how much you can sort and fix yourself without any help from Nadeo.

Find the right Canyon car model on maniapark, place it in the right folder and you can use it in any environment you like. You can also use it in the ingame painter. All this info can be found in the multilanguage tutorials on maniapark itself.

The cars you mention above don't work well in the ingamepainter indeed but that's because of the model and not because of the painter. Nothing Nadeo can do here.

Exact. Besides this the painter is only basic. In Stadium actually the fake shadows and the individual skinnable parts are missing.
Advanced skins can only be done properly with external tools.

However, you can still paint it, and this car needs plain color only, not other fancy stuff
