[ShootMania] Command and Squad options

Almost all shooter games have a command system to be able to tell squads to take a flag or spawn point

1 Commander over entire team
1 Captain each over 4-man squads (16v16 = 4squads of 4-men each)








For single player mode you can also have Commander-only mode, where you tell computer controlled troops to go places. This will give everybody a chance to be a commander, and where troops actually do what you say.

Top commander is chosen at the start of the match, and given a number of command points to spend

spend command points on:
-air drops (vehicles, ammo, health)
-see more map (limit to team area only, then increase if command points spent)
-spy drones (limited time to see all enemy locations for x seconds)
-intel (list of enemy weapon kits on map)





this is just a suggestion
-if you don't like it, you don't have to argue against it, just make your own suggestions

Hehe, it's not Commander & Conquer, remember that. All i can say... i think you're going in the wrong direction with your suggestions. Let's speculate about this when we know some more.

I agree with you this time, but most shooters have a "chain of command" system... I just had some ideas. I know they are in testing phase with SM, but maybe some of these ideas might make it in.

The thing is, we don't even know what kind type of game it's gonna be. And your suggestions are most possibly not even in that area. So everything you write becomes unreasonable, and not very helpful.

they gave us a place to suggest things. I am suggesting things. Russianx on the other hand is not suggesting, only saying that we shouldn't suggest.




So what DO you suggest?

then you don't have to suggest, or tell others not to suggest. this "suggestion" forum was created for suggestions, this is not a "discuss suggestions" forum.

and why would you want to wait till a game is done, to ask them to put something in... it would be DONE, and a little too late to make suggestions.

suggestions by definition come before something is finished.

first i want to thank you, that you include the communiyt that much for this project! i mean, not every programmers ask what the gamers want to have, or even wishes. so i think, on this base we could become a quite awesome community, especially with bugs fixes for the future (i hope they won't be in ^____^).

meanwhile, I would like you all to be cautious with the "suggestions" word
this is a place where players put suggestions. I read them, but it is often really far from the basic goals of the game. I always repeat that we are targeting simplicity first. Suggestions in that area are quite more difficult to make than in "quantity" and "features addition" spirit.
