Running TM2 with MSAA instead of FXAA

Post by flidd »

Have just had a quick play with Nvidia Inspector and got TM2 Stadium running with very nice 4x MSAA instead of the ugly 'in game' FXAA that you are forced to use when running with 'very nice' shaders.

Looks loads better now. :)

Install Nvidia Inspector.
Choose the Trackmania 2: Canyon profile.
Add this code to the antialiasing compatibility line 0x004032C5
Choose antialiasing mode - override application settings.
Choose your type of AA - 4x multisampling seems fine for me.
Save settings.
Make sure FXAA is turned off in TM2.

It's not erased. Using 1.97 look in the elevated settings.

Doesn't this blur the UI too? This option is often invisible because it would blur the UI/text etc. otherwise.
