How do you votekick?

I was just in a match where we had one player afk for several rounds just after he joined the server. The rest of us didn't knew how to vote kick him. So yeah, how do you do it?

Normally the kick function is used to get rid of players who are being a nuisance or are abusing rules/ other players, so I wonder why you would want to kick someone just because they are not racing...

Most servers are set up to kick idle players automatically after a certain number of challenges (races) but this does not always affect server admins. Maybe this player is an admin

But, to be helpful, I can tell you: Hold down the Shift key to show all players names; left-click on the player's name and you should see his/ her info and a small menu - check it out. But as a 'play-fair' player, you would want to use this function wisely (I'm sure you will), so you don't make yourself unpopular.

Thanks for the info.

This was in Shootmania so it screwed the other team up by giving my team 3 shields when attacking while only fighting 2 opponents and every time it was his turn to attack we had a free win. I just wanted him off the server to get a fair match.

Alternatively, press Esc -> Player Profiles -> Scroll with the arrows to their profile -> Votekick

I guess that this is Elite mode, where it's very confusing to find player profile directly without using menu because it's not using the same player list mechanism like other modes (until someone told me how to do it). Here's the another way: With alt key (to release mouse pointer) while still playing or when spectating, left click on a player, then call for votekick. This should work for Heroes mode, too.

In SM as far as I think, afk players should be at least kicked as they give too much advantage to opponents in various ways unlike in TM, where players don't have any effect on opponent actions eitherway.

However, here's another problem: When it's 3v3, and someone from your team is idle and you want to votekick him, the opponent team will simply reject that (2 votes for yes against 3 votes for no) and eliminate him whenever possible, causing votekick to fail and player just won't leave.

True that. Votekick should only be visible by the concerned team. Worse, sometime a team of 3 join the server and votekick to make room for another team to make a practice...
