Using more than 1 key per account ?

Hi there,

I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post these questions, if not feel free to move it to the relevant location as this is my first post on these forums

I already own Trackmania 2 Stadium and Shootmania Storm on Steam. Today a friend said that I could take over one of his Trackmania 2 Canyon accounts that he doesn't use anymore.

He gave me the key and all the login details for this particular account. Now I was wondering, would it be possible for me to activate that key on Steam so that I can own + download Trackmania 2 Canyon via Steam and then have it associated with my other account that already has Stadium and Shootmania Storm on Steam?

If it is possible, would my ladder points for Canyon then be on 0 as well, seeing that he already has 60k + LP on his login?

Any comments welcome.

You can use different keys, if you also use different logins if you also have the passwords, of course
No need to separate between regular installation and Steam.

A reset of the points is not possible I think.

Just to make sure I follow you 100%, in other words, if I activate the key on Steam, will I be able to use that key on the account which has Stadium and SMStorm ?

I just want all 3 games together on one account basically, if possible

Otherwise, I'll buy Canyon for myself then on Steam later this week if I can't use his key on my own Maniaplanet account.

You can register an game key at steam.

But if the games are been seen as one account I do not know.

I did have canyon , bought stadium on steam.
I registerd canyon later at steam.
Both games show up on same steam account.
But if I play stadium and want to play canyon, I have to shutdown stadium ( so also maniaplanet ) and start canyon.

I hated that , so Nadeo helped me out with that one

I take it, that's via Steam ? Because I have to do the same. Let's say, I stop playing Stadium and want to play Storm, it has to restart Maniaplanet. If this is the case for Canyon, then I don't mind doing that in the least (how did they fix it for you ?). As long as I can just have the Canyon key associated with my Maniaplanet account on Steam, it will be all good.

I just wonder whether or not my ladder points + ranking would be zero on Canyon then...mmmm.

Nope thats not working.
I somehow tried the same and ended up with 2 keys at one account.

I contacted Ubisoft about it and they sended me to steam cause I bought the game there.
Steam could not help me because they have no acces to game accounts , only steam accounts.

So Ubisoft would not help and Steam could not help, and yes this is true !

So then you have Nadeo , great people and I mean that !
I asked polite if they could help me , ( I pm ed some one from staff ) and they did.

So now I'm free from steam and just have the game key.

I think I'll wait for someone from Nadeo just to confirm my theory before I do it. Would kick myself if I registered the key on Steam and then it wouldn't register itself to my account for Stadium and Storm on Steam and still have to use my friends account just for Canyon.

Here's hoping someone from Nadeo reads this thread.

hackie, sounds weird, good you got it sorted after all

Just for background information, we have to differentiate between the initial activation of keys, and using them on both plattforms later.
I think it matters in which sequence the keys are applied.

Recently I added the already activated key of my regular Canyon setup to Steam ("Activate a product on Steam ") just to test how this was working, to be able to respond better to issues, and it worked fine.
