Change Author Name

How do you change your author name to match your profile name -- currently it saves as my account name, which is my real name, and I would prefer my author name match my profile name.

authorname is always your loginname. you might try to change it with hex-editor ^^

Shouldn't they change that? Some people use their e-mails as the login name and they probably won't creates maps due to this...

The author name should be attached to your profile name and not the login (also for security reasons).

I think that everybody is used to login name being there, but adding nickname next to login could be cool.

Okay, so you make a map; there is more than one person with the same nickname (problem) as you have ingame, but no one have the same login as you in maniaplanet.

And what happens when you change your nickname, should 'maniaplanet' magically update your- and everyone elses map (author) on every server around the world as you have shared your map file?
Won't happen, mate.

shouldn't be hard to show it dynamically instead of taking it from map file.
