Block ''2.4.1.'' IN the side of mountains

Post by Soprah »

Hey editor fans!

I am totally fascinated about the ability to create own maps.. and that since early TMNF. I am non-stop building maps in Shootmania since January and I really love the new map-editor!
But one point has annoyed me all the time..:
The Fact that you cannot place the block ''2.4.1.'' INTO the side of mountains!

At the moment, you are only able to place blocks ABOVE the side of mountains (Number 1. ''Only possible'')
My idea is that you should be able to place blocks IN the side of mountains (Number 2. ''IDEA''). You can choose any height you want. But pls notice this: I am only speaking from the block ''2.4.1.''!

In this example, there is a gap between between the blocs and the mountain. It is easy to fall in the gap and you won't be able to get out there. Nadeo brought a solution to avoid this issue by placing the block 2.4.1 on the gap, but the block would be ON the side of the mountain as well (2 ''Only possible solution'').
My Idea would be to place the bloc 2.4.1 IN the side of the mountain as on the ''Picture 1''.

Pls notice this:
My topic or rather my idea isn't about Blockmixing! I only want that you are able to place the block 2.4.1. in the side of mountains. Nothing else :)

What is your opinion about my suggestion?

All the best,
Soprah

I agree with you Soprah. It would be nice to just fit that block IN the mountain with an adjustable height.

I think the big part of the problem with being able to do this currently is that even if you were only able to add 2.4.1 to the side all the other blocks would have to be modified as well. If you were to place a block on top of that flat surface it would as well need to blend IN the mountain.

On the other hand if they were to just restrict any additional blocks to be added onto the one IN the mountain the only option would be to start adding content to the next block over only.
