[CANYON] wrong name displayed

Hello,

I noticed that in some tracks the wrong name is shown in the upper left corner. Besides the fact that most of the times shown are the wrong ones (very old, nearly from the beginning), I had three tracks (C01, C09 and D04) where, when logged in on my account, my son's name (and a very old record) is shown in the upper left corner. And even from two different periods. When logged in on his account (same computer) it works fine (besides the wrong times though).

Some big pix as example. The first three displaying the wrong player. So logged in on my account, but displaying my sons name (also with an outdated record time). The last two are about showing different record times on the same track.

I flushed the cache a zillion times since this feature was implemented, so I'm pretty sure it's not a cache issue. I don't care much about the wrong records being shown. Nice challence... But the wrong name shown, with (at least for me) no clear reason is, to say the least, a little bit strange.

This nicknames come from your time where you drove personal best time. This nickname won't be uptadeted because this nickname is saved in a replay.gbx on this tracks. You can test it by yourself if you change your name and drive a map where you have not a personal time. If you finish this track with the nickname which you have changed, you will always see time with the "new" nickname.

And I know that when you change your nickname, it is not shown in rankings and the upper left corner until you beat your own record. So no problem with that. It's just that the times are incorrect until you beat them. And when times driven before this feature are fast, the feature is kinda useless. It's only useful when starting on a track, or on a lucky day...

The funny thing is that every now and then I delete all my replays that are slower than my official time, so I was wondering where the time shown in the upper left corner comes from. I don't doubt the fact that it is an old record I once drove, but if there's no replay of it on my drive, where does this time come from...? And if maniaplanet is able to remember and to show my best training time, why isn't it possible to use the same data for displaying that time in the upper left corner? The data is available, so why not use it?

The second this is strange though. Maybe my ManiaPlanet files are messed up along the road after numerous updates and a lot of editing, saving, editing, saving and so on. But with a very active TrackMania kid on the same computer it's a bit strange that he doesn't have my name shown on any Canyon track while being logged in with his account. I know for sure that's it related to being on the same computer and when I should log in on a different computer, the names would be shown correctly. It's just that I want to know why. Why does TM show the name and time from another user and why only on three tracks, while, looking at similarities, there are a lot of tracks where this could happen.

Edit: After beating the time shown upper left, my son's name was replaced with mine and the most recent time is displayed. So I know what I have to do...

Maybe this is related to all other wrongly displayed names (buddies etc) and/or the wrongly displayed planets amount.

Maybe. Although the "buddy-thing" could also be some sort of a sync problem, while this "upper-left-thing" more looks like getting the wrong data (only local??). But then again... I'm just guessing...

Partly solved the problem. The times shown in the upper left corner are taken from folder autosaves. When I deleted those replays, however, no time is shown at all. This means that, in order to get a time displayed in the upper left corner, you have to drive each track again. And second: in order to get the correct time displayed in the upper left corner (your fastest time), you have to ride exactly the same time as you did in your best practice on every single track. Correct me if I'm wrong...

And am I right (Kripke told me, I know , but still not sure ) when I say that when you change your nickname, you lose all your best times driven with the old nickname? I mean, the visual part off course...

So again: wouldn't it be better to ignore those autosaves and nicknames and use the times from the individual tracks? The ones that are shown in the medal menu as well as in the main screen when clicking on a track?
