Hi. Hope someone can help.
I've tried playing with 3 different graphics drivers (including the latest beta drivers), but the game freezes up at random times, requiring CTRL ALT DEL to get out of it.
I have monitored temps and loads, and they are nowhere near dangerous levels.
I have also tried altering the GFX settings.
Some people over on Steam discussion have the same problem.
My specs are as follows:
ASUS Z77LX
Intel i5 3750K
ATI HD 5870
8GB DDR3 RAM
Soundblaster XtremeMusic Sound
It happens online and offline.
Regards
Steeev

Re: [TM2 Stadium] Constant freezing
I have the same problem: Random freezes of maniaplanet, online and offline, and I can`t figure out the problem.
They can occur anywhere, there is no specific point, also the Gpu/cpu are far from beeing hot . Also the duration I can play is allways different, sometimes I can play 2 hours without problem, sometimes 1/2 hours,... I also have no CrashLog, as I have to leave the program with "CTRL ALT DEL".
I already tried all the things mentioned in the forum:
-Altering graphic setting
-disabling this DX9..
- Sound on "Normal"
- Checked different graphic drivers
- Checked Firewall, Router and any network settings
- Checked for other applications running in the background
I really have no idea, what else to try. The game runs absolutely smooth apart from that.
I also want to drive in competitions, so this is a crucial problem atm.
Every suggestion would be highly appreciated!
Ty in advance

Re: [TM2 Stadium] Constant freezing
I just want to report, that my problem is solved, just in case someone encounters the same issues!
It was my gamepad (Speedlink Strikepad 2), which caused Maniaplanet to freeze randomly (no matter if windows or Speedlink drivers).
I now drive using XPadder (I didn`t want to buy a new gamepad) and not a single freeze anymore since 2 weeks

Cool, thanks for the feedback

Re: [TM2 Stadium] Constant freezing
This is the same symptom as I had. Maybe I'll try unplugging my Xbox pad to see if that fixes my issues. Seems a rather ridiculous problem though, and not one you should have to fix by changing controller...

Re: [TM2 Stadium] Constant freezing
Unplugging my pad made no difference and I still get these constant GFX driver crashes. I've tried changing which driver version I am using and nothing fixes it. I'm really sick of this now, since I can't play the game anymore. It happens to me on both Valley and Stadium, I haven't checked on Canyon since that was fine for the 2 years before Stadium and Valley were released.
Good on TMUF still works though.
Anyone else still having the problem?
