Optional Update

Hello,

I have been racing on trackmania 2 stadium for the last couple of weeks but today when a small update was released i cannot seem to get onto the game anymore.
Once the games launches via steam i keep getting a "Optional" update button saying do i want to download now or later and regardless of which option i choose it tells me the game must restart after which it downloads the 30mb update via steam, restarts and the same window comes up with the same update

I run a windows 7 64bit and the game via steam

Any help is appreciated cheers

The update needs administrator rights in order to be installed properly, but perhaps there is indeed something wrong with the Steam version actually.
Did you restart the Steam client? It should download the update by itself as well.

I have restarted both steam and my computer and steam itself doesnt seem to pick up on the update i have also reinstalled the game on steam

Too bad. I fear we have to wait until tomorrow for a official reaction.
The non-steam verison updated properly (I don't have the full games in Steam, only the betas, but they went off).

Damn it seems that today an update was picked up from steam and even after installing it and starting up the "Optional Update" seems to have changed from 30mb to 61mb and still the same problems as before

they have added a few hotfixes during the late afternoon.
