Hello,
I bought valley ofcourse instantly and I'm amazed by the fidelity. THis is basicly "ralleye" , the mature rasing version! What imediately caught my ear was the lack of engine sound.
I've tested this. and it seems that when you set he sound quality on normal, (doesn't matter if the 2 fx enhancements setings are on or not) it will work. When you set it on high, the engine sound will be muted sometimes until in the race.
So I wonder what actually happens when the sound channels are set to high quality. is it just more channels? or is sound played back at higher bitrate ?
I also want to tell you that I'm playing sound on my onboard asus motherboard's realtek HD autio soundchip.
Hope it helps a bit.

Re: Sound of car engine bug test
I'm effected too. Got to say quiet embarrassing, why wasn't that fixed eventually?
Re: Sound of car engine bug test
because there is already a built-in and well known fix: use normal quality.
One thing they could do: just remove the buggy "high quality" setting from the dropwdown.
But then also they would need to add some check to reduce the quality, but this is something they did not want to spend time for.
