Converting Skins from TMNF to TM²S

Hi, I saw that TMNF skins don't work for TM2S. Can the skins be converted for use with a TM2S car?

If you want to use a skin from the "standard" TMNF model, you can use f.e.

or

You just have to rename the Diffuse.dds from your original model to skinDiffuse.dds, and the Details.dds to detailsDiffuse.dds and replace these files in the new model.

It may be you have to adjust the alpha in your old diffuse.dds, if your skin gets too shiny in TM2.

It's a great pity that you can't import cars from TM1 now like you used to be able to do before the update to the Open Beta Canyons. I have a favourite car made by T.O.M. (model Messiah) which I've mainly used in TMUF for the past few years but it is unavailable for use in TM2 I can do nothing but hope

But there are great new models out there, with damage model and parts falling off, which was not possible before. These are really nice new features, so it it has pros and cons

True mate .. but not a fan of 'damage' so I wouldn't worry about that and have not found anything I really like on ManiaPark yet. Love that Messiah tho ... Cheers anyway
