Rip tracks from server/cache?
i was wondering if there was any way to save tracks that you play on multiplayer servers? or if you you can rip them from the cache? I have recently been playing very hard fullspeeed tracks, and i feel i am improving because of it, but i would really like more than 5/6 minutes to practice some of them. Also does anyone know of a fullspeed track pack i can download for offline play? EDIT: stadium 2 if it helps

Re: Rip tracks from server/cache?
Hi wizardface,
w1lla's advice will do what you require, but only on servers that allow you to save tracks. Another method is as you guessed, copy the files from the cache. As you may have noticed, everything in the cache has a filename that is a hash ... what do you do to change those hash filenames into people friendly names?
Why give this well spiffy utility a go ...

Electron is an absolute champion for creating this.
Hope that helps,
PF

Re: Rip tracks from server/cache?
Remember please to ask the server Admin from where you took a track, if you can add it to your server as some 'track owners of 'Server exclusive' tracks (not tracks put on MX) feel as if you are stealing their hard work and this causes bad feeling. Cheers

Re: Rip tracks from server/cache?
Good reminder firstdriver. However the OP wants to download them for offline play so he has longer to practice on them.
I think this should be okay.
