I want to create a map for an upcoming LAN party, but have no idea how to make it a Royal map.
When I select 'set map type' in the finalising options menu; Royal is not among the options.
Also when clicking 'set map objectives' the menu disappears, but nothing happens.
The map validates and works fine when pressing return; but when I create a local match and try to run the map it keeps hanging on the loading screen infinitely.
Am I supposed to test out activation of the pole in test mode? At the moment it won't activate at all, so I can't check whether certain objects are within the eye of the storm or not.
Many thanks.

Actually, if I try to host a local game with an official map it also doesn't load, so perhaps my map actually does "work"...
How do I solve this. all it does is say "Loading Please wait"; there's no loading bar. Can still bring up the top menu bar.

You need to start Royal as a title, THEN enter the editor and THEN you can chose & validate the map as royal.

Thanks TStar that seems to work; at least here with the quick test I did at work. Will see if I can start a local server at home tonight.
The whole ManiaPlanet/ShootMania interface still makes my brain hurt even after having played ShootMania for over a year. How they could have made something so unintuitive is totally beyond me. What's wrong with just using an interface that does things the way everybody else also does it. That's what people are used to and it works pretty well...
