Low FPS with High Quality Notebook

i7-4700MQ
GTX765M
8GBRAM
FPS on low: 80-100

NormaLLY the laptop should perform better, did I miss any important settings?

I would think this shouldn't make much difference but does the monitor on your new one have a fast enough refresh rate to keep up with the framerate?

fps itself doesn't depend on refresh rate. do you have nvidia optimus? in nvidia control panel make sure maniaplanet runs with dedicated gpu and not integrated one.

I already have seeen the fps fix at e.g. 60Hz with enabled vsync and 60Hz TFT.

Firstly, thanks for the answers.
My new monitor got 60hz as opposed to the 75hz I got with the other one.
I dont use Nvidia Optimus, and I tried to run it with the nvidia gpu, still no change.
Btw, I got Windows 8 64-bit

Check your power settings, make sure you are set for max performance, I got a pretty beast PC but If is set my power options to 'Power Saver' then I lose about 100fps.

Also check if you got any other power-related software on your notebook as they will need to be set to high performance over power saving.

One more thing to check is if you're running in windowed mode, I find the game stutters and the frames sloppy when I run in Windowed or WindowedFullscreen.

I assume your notebook is new? if not then a good de-dusting of the Processor heatsink should better things as if the CPU/GPU is getting too hot it will under-clock itself down to keep cool.

Download Speccy and read the temperatures of your CPU/GPU while ShootMania is running and check how hot they are. Anything below 70 degrees celcius is good.

Don't know what you set your graphic settings for ShootMania but I set mine at the lowest but anti aliasing & Anisotropic Settings are set higher to make the environment less distracting. Therefore eliminating the chance of low fps.

If you think the game looks too ugly for those settings then set texture quality to Medium or High and it looks great!

Good luck ! I got an asus i7 notebook and it has the asus aluminium cool technology and all that crap and I go on 80ºc with an USB cooler playing shootmania... Residual heat from gpu is the cause of this temp

where can I check my power settings? And yes, I got everything on the lowest, playin like that in every game to get high fps P

Also check your Power settings in the Control Panel of your Nvidia driver: right click on desktop->click Nvidia Control Panel-> click "Manage 3D-settings" in the menu on the left->Under "Global Settings", scroll down to "Power Management Mode" and choose "Prefer Maximum Performance" if set to "Adaptive".

Also make sure your driver(s) are updated to latest set.
