Feedback/ Just watched ESL.

Hello, I didn't really understand where I should post these feedbacks. So I just posted them here moderators I'm really sorry if it's wrong section.
Though I have some suggestions that actually can improve this game since I know people who aren't playing it because of this.

We can start off with the rating system, as I have understood it you gain rating when playing the game. So, the more you play the better rating you get. That's a big problem since people who just have much time to play this game but still aren't good can get the best rank. (It's a smart way to keep the players since you force them to play much)
I have a thing that could be better. You should use a laddersystem. Well, just like heroes of newerth or league of legends or starcraft. We can take the old league of legends as an example. You had a 1500 rating and then you climbed up into different ladders. It's a nice way to see your actually rating and it's an easier way to matchmake people with the same rating.

I do also have another suggestion.
The game costs 19euro on steam. Which is pretty expensive, if you want to make this game bigger you should make it free to play.
As we see today, the most popular games are free to play (Dota, HoN, LoL, PoE etc..)
The way they earn their money is through ingame purchases. Shootmania currently have skins, you should make skins purchasable with ManiaCoins or something like that and people can buy ManiaCoins with IRL money. Different horns should be able to purchase, maybe a spray? I know much more that I could write here.
Reason why Quake was so successful was because of the FTP. And I can tell you guys that this game can grow ALOT if you fix these things. Just sayin.

All ManiaPlanet games have separate ladder systems, even for individual titles.
And with the Planets you can earn, ingame "purchase" of Skins, Horns, etc. is possible since very long time, it was called "coppers" with TrackMania.
Only that there are not yet many skins nor models for ShootMania.
And the usage of a horn in ShootMania, well... you're a player, not a car.

Regarding the free to play games, they all have their own limitations.
And game studios can't give them for free without ingame advertisement or really expensive real money purchases.
Nadeo has chosen to avoid real money ingame purchases, but they sell their games for a realtively fair value.
Other games cost 3x more, not talking of games for game consoles which are even more expensive.

You are absolutely right. And so is Tmarc.
I dont know what the best solution is... im no expert in these things, but ( and this is said 1000000x times , so im sorry ) the way it currently is , is CLEARLY not good enough. The playerbase is still very very small and this makes me sad. :oops:

I really appreciate the fact that NADEO made this DEMO + you could actually win a Playstation4, but it wasnt enough imo :s They should do more stuff like this! And be Creative!

example: Give away free keys to YouTube Celebrities and let them Review the game!!
That specific review will be seen by 50.000 subscribers in 1 day...

I also agree that the game should be cheaper! Maybe NADEO is comfortable with what they are earning? I mean after 10years they still exist so that means they are doing good business! ( congrats ) But... I think having 2x more players and sell the game at -50% would be soooo much better for everyone! ( if possible )

Today, the 2 online money cups ( ESL GO4SM & LGZ ) got discontinued and got replaced by a non-prize cup.
I honestly think this is another thing that will affect the playerbase in a bad way! :teub:


But im trying to stay optimistic!!
There will be a new mappool coming out soon with hopefully better maps, showing the new blocks a bit more etc etc.
NADEO promised a big update for the game & I heard it would be coming out in December as well?
We currently have the Steam sales? Maybe there will be a Xmas sale too?
And I really hope the demo gets expanded a bit ( tutorials + Royal )
And I would do another campaign ( like the DEMO / PS4 campaign ) to get more players.

Lets hope it turns out well :) Ill be watching. :thumbsup:

So this will make necessary to remove ability to customize skins, horns directly by specifying files like now. Instead, I think it would be better to make accounts with different access level.
For example,
free account: has Elite and Royal, maybe 10 matches per day (big enough to get the taste of a long session, and small enough to motivate to buy), no customization
5$ account: some additional modes (maybe Joust, Siege, etc.)
10$ account: all modes
15$ account: no matches limit
20$ account: customize skins, horns, nicks
