Please make something to avoid this practise. It's not very good for map creators.

Re: Unlocking maps is now possible.
this is old as trackmania and there will probably always be ways to go around passwords
btw do you think posting the tutorial would rather prevent or support password hacks?

Re: Unlocking maps is now possible.
You're right for the link.
Since today, I did not know that unlocking maps was possible.
So maybe it can be fixed once for all?

Re: Unlocking maps is now possible.
as i said it can only be made more difficult but i'm quite sure that you can't prevent it completely
but imho it's not really necessary because there aren't many people who would do this in a way that hurts the original map author
I for example did it to fix a map whose author stopped playing in 2012
and i always made sure that people are able to know who originally made the map
putting a password on the map pretty much says "please don't remix/modify my map without my permission"
and most people respect that
or did you encounter somebody that intentionally modified a map to call it his own creation?

Re: Unlocking maps is now possible.
How to avoid map passwords? For example I want to edit great map "Elite - Swift" to fix some 'glitches' and of course recompute the shadows but it's not possible because map has password -.-
My Gamemodes:
MP4 - Countdown, Firefight
MP3 - Reduction, Overload, Flashpoint, Territory, SM Race, Escape
MP2 - Search & Destroy, Oscillation, Instagib
