Hello everyone,

We noticed that ManiaControl lately had a lot of positive feedback on our new controller currently in development so we created this topic to give you all an opportunity to suggest some cool ideas, improvements and tweaks for ManiaControl. From Player statistics & map management to admin and player actions, these are possible by creating new plugins or by implementing them directly to the controller.

To shed some light on the topic you can refer to What is ManiaControl? or to my new video series on YouTube.

The ManiaControl Team thank you all for taking the time to do this, you are awesome

A function which allow to pay planets for juke a map from the maplist:
Maps which were played < 1 hour = 200 planets
Maps which were played > 1 hour = 20 planets
(Planets and times are variable)

A queuesystem like this: http://www.tm-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=17741

Remove maps which have vote < 30 % included a mincount you need to remove automaticly from your server:
A map has vote 24% - 20+ players have voted for it => Map removed
(vote in % and number of votes are variable)

[...] have fun

Thanks kripkee,
I like the 'pay planets' for adding a map to the MapQueue.
A 'Spectator waiting list' is to be added soon.
I like the automated map removal idea but the <30% might not even be needed, but I'm sure we will add a button to the map list as 'remove unpopular maps' for Admins and only do the action on request to save some resources as its an action that won't be used that often. Will look into it though and if its added then SuperAdmins can change the value in the settings panel.

Hi!

Currently setting up an Elite server and was wondering if I could use your beta version from the getgo.
It could perhaps provide you with some testinfo and plugin development.

I'm game to invest some time in this, so let me know, ok?

Cheers,
Charly

Ok will do!
One suggestion I do have.. It would be very useful if the controller can run on a separate pc.
My Maniaplanet server runs on a dedicated pc in a network, while my server controller will run on the dedicated web-server (another machine in the same network). With SMART this wasn't a problem. SMART still works (with some adjustments I made), but since core-development is gone, it's time to move-on.
