I dont know if you know the bug, but I found out when you build a track with a multilap start and a normal finish, you wont respawn on the multilap after you finished a round, you´ll respawn on the normal finish block. ( I also rebuild a track to test it in tmnf and when you hit respawn right after you finished a lap you respawn from the multilap start again).
I gonna attach a map, if you want to test it and a small clip for the lazy guys.
This one is known since canyon alpha and was more or less seen as a feature for creation of multilap maps with a different start and a different flying round start (as the finish overtakes the function of a normal start).
