Nadeo world locations

Post by andrus »

My imagination where each environnment is located:
http://trackmania-carpark.com/imagespar ... e033ae.jpg
At first i thought that Bay is New York, but actually many buildings in the warp area are based on Hong Kong.
Coast = 100% redrocks Croatia.
Island - Italy, probably Sicilly :D
Stadium - Germany
Desert- 'Murica
Rally - Europe, some lakey place
Snow - Arctic, but japanese building makes me place it closer to Japan, so they could influence local architecture. Maybe Kamchatka?
Canyon - Murica again
Valley - Europe again, this time more calcium based rocks terrain rather than lakes area.
Storm - Mongolian hills.

I'd love to see an environment placed in the South American jungle, or African savanna. Those continents are so far untouched by Nadeo :D
What do you think of this?

nice pic m8 ^^
But Coast is 100% French like Valley (look at the roadsigns). It's the "Côte d'azur", the french riviera.

funny thread =)
When making environments, we take references from different places in the world. Trackmania's environments are continent based : America / Europe / Asia.
We mix different things there, nothing really exact.
Here is where I feel the environments could be located (but not where they really are).

Desert = America - Colorado / Monument Valley
Rally = Europe - France / England
Snow = Asia - Jade Dragon Mountains / Great Wall
Island = America - Florida / Keys
Coast = Europe - French Riviera
Bay = Asia - Hong Kong / Japan
Canyon = America - Utah / Glenn Canyon / Lake Powel
Valley = Europe - Germany / France

Stadium = in the matrix, everywhere on the planet and nowhere at the same time, in stratosphere, in a dream.
Storm = Another planet ! But you could find, on earth, similarities in ireland, iceland or new zealand.

Australia lies untouched by Nadeo too you know. And I hadn't a clue on snow's location before, rather interesting to know.
Crashing happily since 2009.

So my guess was quite far away, I can't really tell cultural difference between Japan and China :oops:

Island: a island paradise on Pacific Ocean (Polynesia?)
Bay: Hong Kong
Coast: Some place on Mediterranean
Rally: Great Britain?
Desert: USA
Snow: Tibet or Nepal.
Stadium: anywhere on the world
Canyon: USA
Valley: Great Britain?

My opinion...
CPU: Ryzen 7 2600; Video: GeForce 1070; RAM: 16GB; also known as The Lil' Electricity Bill Booster. In-game as <MATKS95>

Island is Florida, Miami, The Keys...
Snow could even be China, driving on the Great Wall.
Valley could also be some part of France or Belgium, where there are cliffs (to bad there is no cliff down to the sea as on the Channel).
