Help. Game says demo after I bought it[fixed]

I bought TM2 Canyon through steam and it plays fine except for the facts that in game it says that im playing a timed demo and not the full game. when i put in my steam key it say something like "game key requires steam" even though the overlay is running.

Are You sure you are playing on Canyon station? On multi-env titles it's possible to see timer on bought env.

If you purchase the key in Steam, you also have to register it in Steam.
For this you need to install the game in Steam, and connect to you existing ManiaPlanet account.
Then you can play also with the standalone version and uninstall the Steam version.

I launched the game through steam and made a new account cuz i didnt have one. Then went to play canyon but in the top right corner it says that im playing a demo. It wont accept the steam key

Rebooted my PC and now im no longer getting the demo thingy. Go figure. Thanks anyway

A reboot also causes a restart of both the Steam and game client
