There was an issue with my SD card reader slowing down the whole system occasionally by replugging itself.
Fixing the SD card reader might've solved the freeze problem. I'll tell you if it occurs again

oha  Good hint

Is it a internal card reader? Is it a laptop or a "multifunction card reader bay"?
And how did you discover it, was there a message from Windows?

... I'm not sure if I fixed anything anymore

From time to time (randomly) I could hear the usb plugout plugin sounds. Sometimes just once, sometimes many times in the row. Sometimes there came a warning that a certain usb connector device should be connected to another port along with these sounds. So I figured out which usb connector device it was and it was connected to my SD cardreader.
As I'm not using it frequently I just disabled the usb connector device entirely.
Sadly, the sound still appears from time to time.

Additionally, I'm not sure if it is related, I have discovered an error which appears very often in the event viewer. But I didn't find any fix for it, as it seems to be a rather rare issue.

One thing that bugs me about this error that it appears so damn often.

All this is far out of the Maniaplanet scope tho

EDIT2: I found out that the appearance of the error correlates exactly with selecting a skype window. I'm onto something :0010

Are you using a USB headset for Skype?

I didn't expect to find something, but I managed to fix the problem.
Blocking skype ads in the host file caused the issue. Or at least blocking rad.msn.com

Now this thing is fixed, but I have no idea about the bulk of freezes and my sd card reader... I will see

Does Sysinternals Process Explorer show high CPU usage for hardware interrupts and DPCs (should be <1%)?

So I couldn't find this bulk of freezes again. Seems like I fixed it.
Process explorer shows me CPU usage of around 1-2% sometimes for interrupts, but no lags :)
