"tangent" value of the "time" block

Hi,

What is the use of the "tangent" value of the "time" block in the MT ? When I try to change it, it always goes back to the same value automatically and has no effect ??? Bug?

Apparently, nobody knows in fact! The guy who coded that function must have quit the job or something before explaining
