Bug? In-Game Custom Sounds Don't Play In Replays?

Post by pjw »

I have a bunch of custom sounds in a track that play while you are driving the track, but when you watch the replay, the sounds don't play.

Is there something I'm missing? It seems like sounds would be a part of a replay? The sounds are using locator files, but I'd normally expect them to be embedded in the replay anyway as the replay is created?

If this isn't a bug, is there some easy way to transfer all the sounds from the "In Game" mediatracker sequence to the "End Race" sequence, or do I really have to recreate all the triggers and tracks all over again, one by one? :-|

Interesting. I'd be curious to know the answer to that too.
I suspect that for the custom sounds to play in an end of race replay you would need to place triggers for them in the end of race media tracker. It seems to work that way for other aspects of the media tracker like lights and texts so...
Are there a large number of triggers you'd have to recreate?

Yeah, after thinking about it a bit more, I can understand why you wouldn't necessarily want custom content to be auto-transferred into the replay (or you might just want things to happen differently in the replay as opposed to the actual race).

It would still be nice if there were a way to just copy/paste an entire mediatracker sequence from one group to another and then alter as necessary.

As it is, I can export/import the individual tracks one by one fairly quickly, but the triggers are going to be a bit more time-consuming (there are 25 or so, and some have pretty complicated trigger sizes/shapes).

I think there's still a feature request thread somewhere; maybe I'll toss this in there.

If you want to copy all thing, and paste you can use the "clip tool".
C'est Grandiose!

Clip tool? What clip tool? Is this something in Mediatracker? I don't see it...

I know you can copy and paste tracks, but I don't know of a way to copy and paste triggers?

Edit: I went ahead and just remade everything.
