and the weird thing is, that if you play some matches & reboot your game , your rank will change back again to something close to your previous rank ( sunday rank )

I dont know how & why, but it's true. This happens every week.

Ill explain what happens every week:

Sunday night I'm top 5.
Monday @12h I usually play 1-2 matches and I'm rank 100+.

Then when I come back later ( lets say 15h ) to play 1-2 matches again, my rank is suddenly top10 again. I've found this weird every week, but I never reported it.


Maybe it"s related to your issue, maybe not. All I know is that I find it unbelievable that I lose 100+ positions on the ranking over night. While every morning (not Monday Morning ) I wake up and my rank is the same as the night before. ( Nobody plays this game at night )


It's clearly a bug, but it's hard to explain or to be precise.

It has always been this way, i think i know why :
- Sunday night / Monday morning you lose your lp's for ladder balance
- When you launch your game, the rank you have is the rank you would have with the lp's you have right now but the day before (94K on sunday = eu80, 87K on sunday = eu300 and 87K on monday after ladder update =80eu).
This is the cause of the way the ladder works, when you play some matches, you win lp's, climb the ladder, if you have more lp's than the 3rd player you become 3rd, but the lp's the 3rd player has, aren't refreshed (they're only are once every 24 hours) and so he may have 2k lp's more today it won't change anything for your rank on this precise day, the ladder points of the other players are like fixed every day( There's like a "personal ladder" you're climbing up alone), you climb it up and the next day your rank is updated to the new ladder.
From sunday to monday the same thing happens, your ladderpoints get balanced and your rank gets updated to the old ladder (you lost 7k ladder points, so your rank is way worse) but the overall ladder has not been updated yet (you're like the only one you lost lp's on your "personal ladder"), and you get your correct rank again when the overall ladder has been correctly refreshed again (when your personnal ladder is the same as the real ladder).

This is how i feel it works, i may be wrong but to me, it really seems it works this way. However the way the ladder is refreshed is very strange, only after game reboot, someday at 9am, the other day at 3pm.

^^ I think it`s exactly this.
This is from trackmania forum, but basically the same:

the rankings might look weird because it's cached and your new rank is only estimated until the new overall calculation has been done (which takes place every few hours)

After 1 day it was good again, but still, this should solved better...
