TutorialPlanet 3.0 UPDATE!

Post by Florenzius »

Hey community,

after the demise of ManiaHub, which mostly was my fault, I wanted to do well what I had destroyed with spamming the forum.

Since the death of ManiaCreative I (we) missing a big part: a complex tutorial site. There are the newer site ManiaPlanet-Doc, but there are only limited basic functions explained.
So I thought long, how can rebuild on such a large lexicon.

Now, after some time I want to introduce it.

A new tutorial-system. Players can use tutorials and players can submit tutorials. As text but also video format. TutorialPlanet.

There is a website where all the tutorials are listed. I and a friend from Mr.DvD's Forum launched the project and have so far five tutorials.

There come a week new ones. But since we can not accommodate all the problems / issues, we now need reinforcements. In the fields ManiaScript, InterfaceDesigner, ActionMaker, ... we need gurus/profis.

You would help us a lot and strengthen the project.

Not even all the tutorials we can do. We need to know what the community wants and needs. So you can also express euere requests on the website.

These were many words for now.
I'll write here any updates, this issue can be used for discussions (friendly discussions) can be used.

Write questions please in our forum: now added on our page

The Website: tutorial-planet.net

The YouTube-Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWp3_l ... 64m5y6MJXA

The E-Mail: support@tutorial-planet.net

Thanks,
Florenzius

I don't want to sound negative, but you might want to make something of it before releasing the webpage.
Also, "Lorem Ipsum" is not very informative... ;)

You might want to try Ctrl+F that on your page...

Your ideas are not bad, but you really, really, really³ should finish the basics, before releasing anything. Otherwise this does not look very professional and users may think twice before contributing something they put work into.

Why don't wait before the "next parts" are finished before releasing the website...?

I hope this wont be again a non-finished project as the previous ones.
Thats why you should better listen to the people here that are giving you good advices !
You really should make something first and then start to publish, and not the other way around.

If you make a site with tutorials you can gather really a lot, maybe over 100 tutorials already by just searching the internet. For example a lot of tools can already be found
here http://doc.maniaplanet.com/client/styles.html
here http://www.maniapark.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=87
here http://tm2s.gamebanana.com/tuts/11254
here https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... t+tutorial

So please please please do your homework before you start anything here. Because a lot people think that this project will be ending as all your other projects :( And please listen to all the good advices !
