I just downloaded the game, but when I start it, nothing happens.
What to do?

It happens to me too!

I press "Play" button and the screen goes black. Then, it comes back to the desktop!

Mine is not starting either.

Intel Q6600 @ 3.50GHz
4 GB Ram
AMD HD5870 1GB Vram
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Any resolution ranging from 640x480 to 2560x1440.

That's all the important stuff you should need to know.

What is going on? Why can't we just open the game, the launcher makes it such a hassle to workaround. And where exactly would the EXE be saved to? I've downloaded the game twice now and still no dice.

Update the driver of your graphic card and test it

Have exact the same problem, however I am able to play if I uncheck the full screen option and run in a smaller window... Matrox Triplehead2go with 3x22 inch monitors, I really want to use it full screen

If I run full screen, the screen goes black and then it chrashes back to desktop...
