Server question. Must read to see what i mean.

Post by wraith36 »

I love using usbTMFserver by Lille79.

Link http://lille79.supersheep.no/ So you can see why i love usbTMFserver.

Reason i like this is because alls i need to do is put details in and push start and it works.

I was wondering if something like this is being worked on or going to be worked on.
The reason i ask is i don't know anything about php, mysql, apache and so on.

Using something like usbTMFserver is great for us who don't know to much.
I am hoping Lille79 Doe's something for TM2 or i will only be able to rent a server.

Hope some one can answer this.
I'm lost if i cant do something like this for TM2.

Thx in advance.

I don't know if Lille79 plans to work on a new release, but since usbTMFserver is based on XAseco, it's likely that usbTM2server will be based on XAseco2. I'm still working on that, so until that's ready there's not much Lille79 can do anyway. Patience, grasshoppers. :)

Thx for the info Xymph.

How far from finishing XAseco2 do you think you are.
I don't want to sound pushy or anything, me and others do appreciate the work you do and are doing.
But cant wait to see what you have up your sleeve for XAseco2.

Will XAseco2 have a whole new and fresh look to it?
And would you have any screen shots of work in progress?
Would there be a feature list of what you will be able to see and do?

Any way thanks for the info and i will wait for news or release which every comes first.

Happy racing.

It's not that hard to adapt the package for TM2 servers or other controllers than XAseco.

The issue is more that currently there isn't a server controller which just runs. All controllers out there are beta and have quite a bit of flaws, which would require frequent updating of the package. So just wait for a stable release :).

Good, because I have nothing to add to the post linked in my previous reply. ;)
