Suggestions for Ladder Points System in Shootmania Elite

Hello,

I appreciate ladder points system but I think we have a few problems with.

The first problem is about new player/norankplayers.

For example, when a rank 8 player plays for ladder points, he's afraid about new players because when a no rank player comes in the other team, rank 8 player can't wins ladder point...

When new player comes into the team of rank 8 player, rank 8 player has more chance to lose the game and lose lps.

So rank 8 player who play for ladder point hates new player.

Rank 8 player hates smurf and non-premium player because they are potentially very good player and lose against will cost so many lps to rank 8 player.

My suggestion for that : Gold player can only win or lose lps against other gold players, so when a new/smurf/nonpremium player comes into the game, he's don't affect Gold player's lps, but he can win many lps on gold player, because silver/bronze/norank players can win lps on gold player.

Other problems with ladder points : When you come into a game who started without you and the score is for example 8 - 7, you play only one round, you lose that round and you lose so many lps for one round play. You can win so many lps for one round win too.

My suggestion : For win or lose lps, you must play 5 five rounds in a game.

My third problem is a personal opinion : rail shot give so many lps, but rocket defence and steal goal not... so you can have a positive ratio with lot of rockets shot and lose lps, you can wins three attacks with steal goal (so three round win by you) and lose lps. I think it's a problem, so I request your opinion for that ?


Fourth problem : rank 9 player who loves play for ladder points is bored... Nobody in MatchMaking 100k, servers is 90K, so only cup to up his rank (2 days in a week)...

I think we must make MM 100k more attractif or allowed servers 100k.

Just play 100k mm and the problem is solved, because not gold players can't join there. (I know there are no players on mm atm, so the ladder doesn't really makes sense in elite anyway)
With more than 90k lp you don't even lose lp on the most privat server, because they are only up to 90k. Haven't had lower than 90k lp for a long time eventho I suck in elite. :P

I agree on this two points but it is even worse... even more important than the amount of laser hits or successful attacks is which team wins and which one loses. You can basically play as good as you want, if you team loses you will lose lp as well. Same thing the other way around. Maybe it makes sense in a team based mode but I don't like it.

Nobody on MM100k... Like I said on other thread, MM100k must be more attractive...

Me I'm 9 ranked so no problem for me with no rank players.

But SM has a little communauty, gold players play with no ranked players all time so my suggestion is good I think.

Thanks for some specific details on what could be improved on the ladder points attribution.

It's something I would rather change during beta/updates phases since the team is focus on other devs and that we should avoid interfering.
