Sorry if this is in the wrong forum...I'm not sure where else to put it.

I would like to make a 3rd profile for my daughter on my copy of TMUF, but the game will not give me a key for completing the process. I was able to create 2 profiles without any problems...the key was already entered for my hubby and also for myself when those profiles were made, but I cannot get a key for a 3rd profile. The field stays blank. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Normally you need keys only for online profiles. And you can be lucky that you were able to create a profile for your ? (hubby, don't know what this means). Because it is normally 1 player, one key which you need to purchase.

In Maniaplanet it is e.g. like this: only a player who has a valid key can create an online account.
And you can create an unknown count of local players.

I don't use TMUF anymore, therefore I can't tell how the creation additional profile is working, sorry.

Well it allowed me to make multiple profiles when I first started it up after downloading. My hubby (husband...it's a slang term used in New Zealand and Australia) already had his account, and I was able to create my profile on that game copy. It has a window that pops up asking what profile you want to use, and I selected 'New Profile' and entered in my daughters details, email, user name, etc, just for using offline. Instead of automatically coming up with a key to create her profile, it came up blank, asking for a key to be entered. I didn't have to do that with mine, so I was wondering what was going on with this.

Hm, just silly question, but did you perhaps click on the wrong profile creation menu?
E.g. you might have clicked on the "create new profile" button, which indeed needs a key?
If I remember correctly, in TMUF one could create a local profile from inside an existing profile, but I might be wrong here.

As far as I remember when you create a new profile it asks you to either "connect to the internet" or "stay offline". And if you choose "stay offline" it should go ahead and create it. I used to do that a lot...
And in TMUF at least that still lets you play the solo campaigns and local "hotseat" multiplayer, just without being able to share your scores on the leaderboards.

As for the profiles for you and your hubby, did you make yours the same way you tried to make your daughter's? I'm very curious because the key should have only been usable for one profile (and although I remember there being at least one case where a physical copy of Trackmania Sunrise shipped with two different keys that didn't happen again to my knowledge.)
