Any fix for 'connection error' while making an account?

Has anyone found a fix, or heard back from support regarding the account creation nonsense?

Account creation failed. Error:

Retry?

Bloody irritating that I've just paid £20 to look at a launcher and fill in some forms over and over again. Haven't heard back from support and can't find anything conclusive on here.

Any ideas? Much frustration?
