The beta has started some weeks ago, so let people know that big things are coming, no?
I also dont understand why the previews have to stop just because there is a beta. There's more to show now then there ever was... 3months without a preview before the 'release'? That's a bit weird no?

Hype for what? It's a closed beta of ManiaPlanet 4 - that is, of something that was started a year ago.

Does Steam hype new versions of Steam whenever the client gets updated?

On the first page of the ManiaPlanet forum, there is no mention that the Closed Beta began, nor information how to join it.

I must say I'm quite frustrated - annoying bugs that hinder our ability to make maps are not fixed, but apparently, opening new channels for monetization (like Twitch TV channels...) is of utmost importance. Trackmania Turbo launched last year and ManiaPlanet got nothing -- we were told "wait a few months, it's coming". Oh well, a year has come and gone, and now the promise is "It's coming this summer". Because that's what loyal customers (who paid 70 dollars for TM Original and TM Sunsire and then 60 dollars for TM United and then 20 + 20 + 10 dollars/euros for TM2 Canyon/Valley/Stadium) deserve - being skipped over by console players and new players and those who never paid for Trackmania...

Turbo was a scam for us we know this but what this guy is talking about is that I'm sure a BIG amount of players don't even know a beta MP4 is in preparation. Only people from this forum know, what percentage of the total TM players do you think this represent ? This can lead to players leaving MP because enough is enough (Robbie, Arsène needs to go) but without knowing an eventual better version will soon come out.
